Baking a perfect robust, crunchy bread with Italian herbs never was as easy as with the FunCakes Mix for Italian Bread. Enjoy the versatility of this bread by varying with additions such as salted butter, olive oil, tapenade, sun dried tomatoes, olives or mozarella. Delicious with a fresh salad, a bowl of soup or with charcuterie and a glass of red wine.
Only water, dried yeast and optionally and addition of your choice need to be added to the mix. But thanks to the tasty Italian seasoning the plain version of this bread is just as tasty.
The FunCakes Special Edition mixes are a range of new and seasonal baking mixes with a temporary character.
Preparation oven: Use a mixer with dough hooks to mix 500 g mix, 300 ml water and 7 g dried yeast in approx. 15 minutes into a smooth dough. Add your choice of filling: 150 g dried tomato and/or olives and mix properly. Cover the dough and rise at a warm place for 45 minutes. Punch the dough down on a floured flat surface, roll up and put the dough in a greased baking pan or a baking tray with parchment paper. Cover the dough and rise for 60 minutes at a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 220°C (convection oven 200°C). Bake the bread in the middle of the oven for approx. 30 minutes. Release the bread immediately after baking and cool down on a cake grid. Tip: Preparation bread maker: put 500 g mix, 300 ml water and 7 g of dried yeast and optional add your choice of filling 150 g dried tomato and/or olives in the bread maker and choose the correct program.
Ingredients: wheat flour, iodised salt, wheat sourdough (dried), tomato, dextrose, corn starch, emulsifier: E471 (palm), E481 (palm), soy flour, natural herbs flavouring, salt, sugar, herbs and spices, enzymes (wheat), onion. For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain traces of: egg, milk and lupin.
